For the purpose of delivery, the DVT-IMP project can be considered as six areas or themes, which converge into delivery of a fully tested working prototype:

• Identification of clinical requirements & development of a conceptual model

• Design, development and optimisation of the analytical approach

• Design, development and optimisation of a disposable analysis cartridge

• Design, development, optimisation and build of a cartridge reader

• Integration of new technologies and components and prototype testing

• Exploitation, education and dissemination of results and new technologies.
